7 So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
Do you recall what this is based on? We discussed it yesterday. They set responsibilities that were specialized, focused on a smaller part of the overall ministry instead of trying to have everyone do everything. The result? Believers were abounding in numbers, even among the priests.
How beautiful it is/would be to see the Church aware of the diversity of gifts and giving each believer their own responsibilities instead of assuming EVERYONE can do the same things. The Church needs to realize the uniqueness between each of us, our own abilities, talents, and gifts. We need to see what each person is passionate about and give them something in that area. When we do this, instead of putting everyone in the same box, we will see believers flourishing, committed to their cause, and best of all SOULS BEING SAVED! Not everyone sings, teaches, or… fill in the blank.
We need to realize the vast difference in each believer and their ability/passion. When we capitalize on this we will find great gain in the Kingdom.
Respond:
God help me find where I fit in. Help me find what I am gifted in so that I can use THAT for the Kingdom. Guide me as to what You would have me do, and give me courage to do it. Thank You Lord for being patient with me as I grow. Please encourage my heart as I struggle along this path.

Look around at your close friends and see what gifts they might have! Many people have gifts that they may not even realize. Observe your friends, be in prayer about their gifts too, and point them out when you see it!
