Rejoice:
I’ve posted this song before, but it’s great for today’s passage so I am doing it again 😛
Read:
As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
Psalm 42:1–2
A deer does not drink without feeling perfectly safe. Assuring nothin is around, no scent or sound of a possible foe. Not a noise made. Silently dropping it’s head to the water feeling at complete ease. In the same way we are called to God and His Word. We are called to dip our head into the stream that is His living Word. Feeling at complete peace and comfort knowing He is protecting and holding us.
On Saturday’s we prepare our hearts for the gathering tomorrow. We pray for God to break the chains we may be experiencing through the week. We pray for freedom from the mental anguish we have been enduring. We pray for this moment. A moment to dip our heads down to partake of the refreshing river of life. Spend today meditating on what it is like to be able to have that peace. Are you at peace? Or are you experiencing a longing for something else? Is your heart still yearning for something of this world? Is your soul striving to be completed by this world?
Pray for God to move today. Pray for Him to radically shake your life. He can do it. He will do it.
Respond:
God break my sinful will. Break any desire for the world within me. Break me from the despair it all brings. Make my heart and soul only find solace in you, only finding fulfillment in Your Word. Transform me from within! 🙂

You should mention these verses to someone. Expound on them even deeper! Remind someone that they can find that same peace in Christ.
