9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
It’s human nature to grow weary, to tire, and to inevitably quit. That’s our response to most things that take endurance. This is further exacerbated if we find ourselves seeing no sign of the finish line, or signs of growth. We grow overwhelmed and give up. Paul recognizes this shortcoming and informs these Philippians that harvest is coming! Don’t grow weary, it is just ahead!! Wait, the time is coming when our investment in the Spirit, in trusting God, the time is coming that it will pay off! Simple exhortation today: when things seem hard, endure. Keep going! Don’t grow weary family, glory is ahead.
God help me to remember that You will repay us for obedience. Keep me from growing weary! I need help not yielding to my flesh, not yielding to quitting when it seems convenient. Fortify my endurance Lord. Amen
It should be simple enough to apply this: remind someone not to grow weary!! 😀
