Thank you all for praying for me last week! It was a rough week of depression and sorrow… #MentalDisabilities. It was tough, but through your prayers God has pulled me through 🙂 I cannot express in words how much my heart is singing this song today!! He is so good!!
Yesterday we discussed the Gospel and I wanted to share it with everyone. SO I thought it fit to put an actual put together version here (if you were in service you know what I mean). The Gospel, at it’s foundation, has three parts: Man’s problem, God’s solution, and man’s responsibility. Here’s the three things with verses to help you. Save this in your phone somewhere and start to read over it periodically so that you can remember it! 😀
Man’s Problem
No man is good (Rom 3:10) because all have made mistakes and fallen short of God’s perfect plan (Rom 3:23). Like baby sheep we have all wondered off, looking our own truth(Isaiah 53:6). The result of this, our wages, is death or separation from God but the gift of God is eternal life (Romans 6:23).
God’s Solution
While we were still sinners, still making mistakes, not even close to looking towards God, Christ died for us (Rom 5:8). God sent His only son, who was God, and He died to trade His goodness for ours (John 3:16). He died once for all of us, just for the unjust, bringing us from death in our bodies to life in His spirit (1 Peter 3:18). He who was perfect and never made a mistake endured punishment for wrong doings (2 Cor. 5:21).
Man’s Responsibility
It is by grace alone (undeserved favor) we have been saved, through faith, not of our own works should any of us boast(Ephesians 2:8-9). A worker is due his wages as a debt not by grace, but we have not worked rather we have been called righteousness because of our faith in God(Romans 4:4-5). Whoever hears God’s word and believes in it shall not come into judgement after death but instead have everlasting life (John 5:24).
Respond:
Spend 1 minute thanking God that He gave us the solution!! 😀 He didn’t stop at the problem but instead gave us the solution for all of it. Then spend 2-3 minutes asking God to guide you to share this with whoever needs it. 🙂
