Read:
Hebrews 3:12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
Someone awesome texted me this a few days ago: “We need positive in this negative world.” However, that person did not punctuate their sentence… tisk tisk. So I added that period. Regardless of their lack of punctuation (I don’t punctuate my texts either), the statement was perfectly aligned with Scripture. We need to be encouraging one another, leading each other to stay motivated and continue the fight! We read things like this constantly in Scripture. Paul often says things like “I thank the Lord for you daily” or other remarks about being thankful for the believers he is writing. Yet how often do we encourage one another as the Church?
We get a taste of it on Sundays but for the most part we don’t go out of our way to message people encouraging things. Scripture tells us to do that though!! So, dude you got this. You’re saved and justified! You are a part of the highest Kingdom in existence!! You have nothing to fear because the creator of this world has offered His life up so that He can live within you and that same King/Creator now promises to walk with you through everything. WOWWWWW God lives in you and I. We are vessels carrying around God’s literal presence on Earth. Do you get that?
God chose to come to this Earth and die, for you. You are a chosen, beautiful, wonderfully made human who God thought was of enough value that He would allow someone to beat Him and murder Him so that He could have a relationship with you. God gave up everything so that He could dwell within you. Be encouraged brother or sister, God has done, and is doing, great things through you and around you. You, my beloved, are a priest of righteousness. You, my friend, are cherished beyond your wildest comprehension.
Respond:
Spend 2-3 minutes thanking God for cherishing you so much that He was willing to die for YOU. Then spend 2-3 minutes praying for God to help you see ways you can encourage others.
Relate:
Encourage someone. Period. (period, period, period?) That’s a lot of periods.
……. great message…… 🙂
